Komet Baseball Team Plays First Game on New Field
Kearny’s Varsity Baseball team took the field at it’s new stadium for the first time Friday, March 6. Taking on High Tech High, the Komets’ came away with their first home victory, winning 3-1.
New Athletic Facilities to be Dedicated in April
Though the facilities have not yet been released to the district by the contractor, Kearny’s new football and baseball stadiums are set to be dedicated in April. The dedication is tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 10th, at 10:00 am. The dedication ceremony will coincide with the first student Pep Rally held on the new field. With the finer details and inspections almost complete, an April completion date and dedication seems within reach.
